GN Resound were proud to launch a new portfolio of hearing aids in October 2009 which develops on the successful platform of the Resound Azure and Resound Dot technology and design.

Resound Live - The new hearing aid range by GN Resound offers a multitude of advanced features as previously seen including a 17-channel  warp processor frequency shaping, Dual Feedback Stabiliser^R, Noise Tracker^TM II, Environmental Learner, Multi-scope Adaptive Directionality^TM and high precision laser made custom shells. New features now also include WhistleControl^TM (which almost completely cuts out nuisance whistling on open-fittings when, for example, people hug to say goodbye), and surround sound processing (which gives the full benefit of directionality without losing the fullness of sound which can be experienced by other hearing aids which use bass-cut for noise reduction). The Resound Live also incorporates impulse sound smoother and integrated wind noise manager and is available in all ITE and BTE styles including a new slim-line RIC which includes a telecoil-loop function (T-switch), a programme button and a volume control giving complete control and versatility. The Resound Live come sin three technology levels Live 5, Live 7 and Live 9.

Resound Dot² - The only cosmetic change from the original Dot is the addition of a programme button for added versatility. The Dot has proven to be a big hit nationwide with regards both performance and design, however even by our own admission the original Dot hearing aid did have some problems with feedback (spurious whistle noise) and this limited its potential. However, the new WhistleControl^TM technology working in conjunction with the already proven Dual Feedback Stabiliser^R has overcome this and has put the Resound Dot² top of the league with regards feedback elimination. The Dot hearing aid is arguably the smallest RIC hearing aid offering dual microphone technology (alongside the Widex Passion) and incorporates all the technology as per the Resound Live. The Dot² is available in three technology levels (Dot²10, Dot²20 and Dot²30), and an array of colour options. Fitting the aids with an array of different ear-tips and speaker powers means we can now fit the Dot² to mild to severe hearing losses (i.e 95% of hearing losses).

Resound Be - Remote Microphone hearing aids! - This revolutionary new Resound Be hearing aid offers a new solution for clients who have experienced problems with wind noise and/or localisation of sounds, whilst also offering a sleek and discreet design option. The Resound BE comprises of a hearing aid component (either modular or custom made as shown below) which sits in the ear canal, and a thin-tube/wire connecting to a small microphone which is discreetly tucked into the helix of the ear (image). In a series of laboratory tests this has proven to aid both wind noise reduction and localisation, thus allowing us to eradicate client specific problems. With the advent of whistle block technology the Resound BE  now also offers an ideal solution for people looking for an 'open fit' without having something placed behind the ear, and this we feel will prove to play a valuable part in the Resound Portfolio.
