Widex are in our opinion one of the three leading manufacturers of hearing aids in the world alongside Phonak and Oticon. The Widex Passion is the smallest RIC hearing aid currently available offering a performance, style and comfort unmatched by most other RIC hearing aids. Widex also produce probably the best and smallest CIC hearing aids on the market in the Mind 440 CIC.

PC Werth were the official UK supplier of Widex hearing aids up to June 2010, however Widex have now set up their own distribution network. Their head office is now in Warrington, where they make all their custom products using 3-dimensional computer modelling and laser shell moulding techniques. 'Widex Passion' - The world's smallest RIC hearing aid, as shown in the image above, and arguably one of the best. Designed for maximum cosmetic appeal, combined with the same 4 performance levels as for the 'Mind' series shown below. The Passion is also proving to be a highly reliable hearing aid requiring very little aftercare.

'Widex Mind 440' - The new Widex Mind 440 uses an integrated signal processor and an enhanced speech enhancement algorithm based on the Speech Intelligibility Index II giving our clients better results than ever before for clarity of speech in the most demanding listening environments. The Widex Mind 440 is a 15-channel instrument with a multitude of the most advanced features for the complete listening experience.

'Widex Mind 330' - Little brother to the Mind 440, the Mind 330 utilises the dual integrated signal processing platform and offers the key features TRUSOUND and Smartspeak along with a 10kHz bandwidth. Slightly dampened down advanced features, but a 10-channel hearing aid with extreme processing power means the Widex Mind 330 is the ultimate hearing aid for people who want the best without going for top-range prices.

'Widex Mind 220' - The lower mid-range model of ITE and BTE by Widex. The Mind 220 is a quality 5-channel digital hearing aid incorporating Smartspeak, Audibility Extender, Noise Reduction, Multiple Programs, Directionality, Feedback Suppression and remote control compatibility. The Mind 220 hearing aids would have been top-range only 5 years ago.

'Widex Real' - The new entry level digital hearing by Widex offering excellent basic level digital technology for easy fittings. The Widex Real is a 4 channel hearing aid with fixed directionality as an option. Even the most basic of Widex digital hearing aids can be successfully fitted to the majority of hearing losses!

'Widex Scola FM System' - A powerful and versatile add-on to any hearing aid, allowing the wearer to overcome problems of noise against distance; i.e. for kids in classrooms, large meeting rooms, seminars, etc, and to overcome excessive problems caused by reverberating sound signals. FM systems are a boon for the young with hearing impairment, but on leaving school these valuable free supply devices are taken off the user, and whilst private FM systems are quite an expensive add-on they can prove invaluable, especially for the severely hard of hearing.
