60 day money back guarantee –
Hearing aids may not benefit everyone with a
hearing loss. All hearing aids supplied by us
come with a 60 day full money back
guarantee; provided that the hearing aids,
accessories and all packaging are collected by
us in their original, as new, condition within
this period. Ear-moulds, custom tips and RIC
speaker wires are non-refundable and subject to
a cost of £30 per ear per wire and per
ear-mould. Please call us in the first instance
if you are experiencing difficulties or
concerns.
Free
further consultation
– In accordance with Cl.11(i) of the Hearing Aid
Council’s Code of Conduct we offer you a free
follow-up consultation within 6 weeks of fitting
to assess your progress and offer further
assistance as required at the location of
fitting, or other agreed location. All further
aftercare appointments are generally free unless
otherwise agreed or notified.
Manufacturers guarantee
– Hearing aids may break down occasionally due
to the long duration of time they are worn in
humid conditions surrounded by wax and skin /
dandruff particles. All hearing aids are
supplied with a standard 2 year
manufacturer’s warranty for repair of
mechanical or physical fault, commencing from
the date of first fitting. This warranty allows
for fault to be repaired or part replaced free
of charge within this period by the
manufacturer. As your supplier, we shall
endeavour to provide reasonable free assistance
in making use of this warranty. This may at
times require you to send the aid to us. The
warranty can, if necessary, be redeemed by any
other dispenser/company as authorised by the
manufacturer of the aids. Note: Speaker
wires for RIC’s may NOT be covered by the
warranty and accessories – Phonak and
Unitron will replace each speaker twice free of
charge within 2 years, after which the client
will have to buy replacements. Warranty periods
for Oticon and Widex accessories are limited to
1 year. Custom ear-tips are not covered by the
warranty.
The warranty
can be extended from 2 years to 3, 4 or 5 years,
only at the time of fitting, at cost.
Extended warranties do not cover the speaker
wires of RIC hearing aids.
Please take
care of your hearing aids as they contain
fragile parts. Liability for damage arising from
accidental damage, misuse, water damage, or
attempted repair by persons other than those
authorised by us or by the manufacturer, are
specifically excluded from the guarantee.
Loss /
Damage of Aids
– We strongly advise you to insure your hearing
aids against loss or accidental damage. We
advise using home contents insurance.
Repairs
– Please contact your dispenser direct using
the number on their business card. We retain
the right to charge for call outs that are a
result of continued improper maintenance of the
hearing aids.
