Hearing Aid Repairs - in the UK
At Crystal Hearing we have the option of using an independent hearing aid repair business who can undertake repairs on most makes and models of hearing aids at much lower prices than going direct to the manufacturer of the hearing aids. Or we can go direct to the main supplier (but this is normally more expensive).
Much the same as using a reputable local company to have your BMW car repaired rather than paying a lot more at the main BMW dealer.
We can also have hearing aid repairs undertaken for those hearing aids supplied by other hearing aid retailers - please call or email us before sending any hearing aids in, and please always use 'special delivery' for insurance against loss, and include your full contact details.
If sending by post please send by 'special delivery' quoting the replacement cost for insurance. Please also put your full contact details in with the hearing aids.
Major hearing aid repairs cost £80 as of 1st February 2012. Prices maybe higher if the amplifier is faulty, or if the speaker wire needs replacing (or RIC hearing aids). Amplifier faults are quite rare, but on any occasion we will notify you of any increase of costs over the £80 fee before proceeding with the hearing aid repair.
Our hearing aid repair cost of £80 is typically half the cost of most high street hearing aid retailers.
