Dear Paul
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for the aids and the very quick and efficient service at every level from the initial enquiry, the help with access to work, the ordering and for the aftercare service. My e-mails and questions have been answered almost immediately and any requests followed up within days (more often than not in hours).
I am a newly qualified Doctor and have previously worn my old NHS hearing aids. However, when starting working as a Doctor I soon realised that these were inadequate. I therefore contacted Paul who ran me through various options and taking into consideration my own personal situation advised for the Phonac Audeo Smart hearing aids. The solution was a Receiver in the Ear (RITE or RIC). Enabling me to use the phone normally as sound is transmitted through the dome fitted into my ear (my hearing loss was not so bad that I could not use the phone). In addition I can actually use my stethoscope without having to remove the aid at all, essential in todays infection control climate. But probably most importantly I can actually hear more of what the patients and other staff say in a very noisy and distracting environment. Ensuring I do not miss any vital bits of information which could help with the patients care.
One area where I noticed that my aids needed adaption was when using my stethoscope and although I could hear the stethoscope (amplified one) I could also hear all the external noises. Paul quickly solved this by adding a simple mute function on my aid which proved extremely helpful.
Thanks again for the informal yet personal and professional manner with which you have dealt with my needs.
Regards
Ross

John,
I want to put into writing how very pleased I've been in all my interactions with Crystal Hearing. All aspects of the service I received can only be described as excellent and rated as outstanding. I speak with some authority since before I retired I was Dean of the European Quality Management Colleges based in six EC Countries. The Colleges taught executives and managers how to achieve quality within their organisations and how to deliver outstanding customer service. Had you attended you would have achieved the top five-star rating.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Crystal Hearing to anyone considering purchasing hearing aids.

Dear Mr. Lloyd
Thank you very much for putting me in touch with Paul Minikin. I now have a hearing aid for each ear and am delighted with them.
I got on famously with Paul and found him very professional and courteous and even entertaining.
You will have to ask him about the meal he had with us!
I have, and will continue to recommend his services to anyone.
Once again, many thanks
Yours faithfully
Mr L Richardson
Dear John,
This is just a quick note to thank you for your excellent service when you fitted me with a pair of receiver-in-the-canal hearing instruments during my recent visit to the UK. Not only am I very happy with them but also the saving of about $4000 compared to purchasing the same units here in Australia paid for a substantial part of my trip to Europe!
On another note, the outdoor sports enthusiasts amongst your clients might be interested to learn of my experience in wearing them while skiing - yes, it is winter here and I am in the middle of my first week's skiing this season at Mt Hotham, which is about a five hours drive northeast of Melbourne.
I can comfortably wear the instruments under my skiing helmet and they behave perfectly normally without any feedback. The best part is the Bluetooth functionality. With my phone in one pocket, my iPod (connected to the Parma dongle) in the other and the Oticon Streamer around my neck under my jacket I get the benefit of music in stereo and access to the phone, which answers automatically and overrides the iPod when a call comes in. The sound quality is excellent. I must say however that I do get a few strange looks when I start talking into my ski jacket...
Thanks again,
Regards,
Roy Rose

Hi John,
Just a quick email to say thanks for everything over the last few weeks in getting my new aids sorted and matched for me. Id have to say initially that I was a little apprehensive about "buying online", particularly with after-sale care but the truth is that your service and professionalism has been absolutely impeccable - nothing seems to have been too much trouble. As mentioned to you I had initially been to see a local independent Audiologist and, aside of your more "realistic" prices, your service has been head and shoulders above them.
As a relatively young person (!) I was obviously concerned about aesthetics as well as finding an Audiologist with the technical competence to program modern digital hearing aids. I'd read on several forums that most aid matching problems and discomfort occur because the Audiologist is not sufficiently skilled or adept with computers to configure them correctly. The INTEOs are certainly tiny and virtually invisible. As for the setup, you get tops marks from me and I'd recommend you to anyone with similar concerns or who needs specialist attention.
Having had my hearing restored quite simply ranks as one the best things to happen to me - So it's a really big thank you to you!
Kind regards
Mike Boxall (Cambridge)

This email was received from Mr Allender (North London) who was fitted in September 2007. Mr Allender was very happy with his new hearing aids but did unfortunately experience a few post fitting difficulties, of which we consider it of utmost importance to deal with promptly.
Dear John,
Thanks for your e-mail yesterday. I hope you've had a good holiday. The little parcel arrived this morning - neatly and beautifully packed - with your note:
"RHS repaired 0728H166D / LHS replaced 0810H1797"
I put new batteries in both (10 minutes ago) and they are in my ears, switched on, right now.
I have to say that the LHS gave a hiss a couple of minutes ago. I cupped my hand over my left ear to check that the thing is ON and I heard the starting up tune again. That was 4 minutes ago, and it seems OK since. A bit worrying still.
It would be interesting to hear from Phonak to know exactly what caused the problem in the first place - what kind of technical fault could it have been (your guess was battery contact).
I will, of course, report if I get more problems.
Your service, as always, was, and is, superb! In fact the best I have ever received from any company with which I have had technical problems, over many years.
Regards, Stephen
PS I am pushing the "Send" button on my PC 10 minutes after I've written the lines above - and both L and R are functioning well!

Background: moderate to severe bilateral hearing loss due to meningitis in childhood.
For many years, despite advice to the contrary, I had coped with a variety of different aids, mostly bulky full shell in-the-ear instruments and only on my 'best' side. As my existing hearing aid was due for renewal I decided to explore what new technological developments there had been in recent years, and to re-visit the issue of one instrument versus two.
I found Crystal Hearing via a Google search. I explored the website and it seemed to reflect a professional approach. In the meantime I had discovered Bluetooth as applied to hearing aids and this seemed to offer a lot of benefits to me. So I began to ask John a few initial queries and attended for a hearing test and discussion. The arguments for two hearing aids versus one made me want to at least try it - and the options that John offered if I was not happy with anything gave me the confidence to give it a go.
After a short time the two instruments arrived. Instantly I could tell that, while some of the hearing programmes in the instrument would need adjusting, speech perception was noticeably better from the off. Pairing with my Bluetooth enabled mp3 player was easy and after adjustment the sound quality available is very acceptable indeed. Mobile music at last without having to remove a hearing aid.
I have also paired the iCom with a Bluetooth transmitter attached to a stethoscope for work purposes. This is a tremendous boon for me as I can now carry out my work without interruptions to remove and replace hearing aids, thus avoiding any risk of damage to the aids.
As well as the overall performance and the Bluetooth functionality, an excellent fit was achieved with the small in-the-ear power shells my hearing loss required. They occupy less space in the ear and are more comfortable than full-shell ITEs, despite the added pieces behind-the-ear.
The Audeo's I received from John are much more complex than the equivalent instruments of even 5 years ago, and in line with that they do require some time to set up optimally. John proved to be extremely thorough, patient and professional during this whole process. I am delighted with the service and the end result.

Hi John,
As you know, I was very upset when my old CICs died and I found out the audiologist that I bought them from had retired. I spent a long time finding him and had to travel 2 hours each time to see him but in the end after many adjustments and a long time getting used to my new aids, I was happy.
After much research on the internet, I came upon your name on one of the forums written by one of your clients who was commending your service. I then did further searches and I found that your prices were excellent as well - the cheapest I could find.
I was a bit hesitant contacting you because I knew I would compare you to my old audiologist and knew it would be difficult for anyone to fill his shoes. I am so glad that in the end I did call you. Your dedication to my situation and the time you spent setting up suitable aids, assuring that the fit was perfect and that I did not waste money buying all of the gadgets which you knew I would not use, was exemplary.
You gave me unquestionable advice, service and aftercare with excellent prices all in the convenience of my home. I have already recommended you to people, some of which have already contacted you as you know and I will continue to do so.
Best regards,
Lisa

Hi James,
I don't know if you'll remember, but some time ago you put a guy called Tim Lapham on to me in the Isle of Man.
He'd just started up in business and I wasn't aware of his existence.
Just thought I'd let you know that he sorted my mum out with a pair of hearing aids at your prices and she's delighted.
In fact there was a bit of a cock up 'cos the model he selected from his computer turned out to be obsolete, so he supplied a more expensive aid at the same price.
I thought this was a very decent gesture. He's a great guy with a really nice manner with Mum who's 100 yrs old in May, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
Thanks so much for taking the trouble to solve my problem , it couldn't have turned out better, and if it hadn't been for you she would still have her old aids which were terrible (we now realise) 'cos there's no way she could have afforded Hidden Hearing's prices!!
Regards,
Stuart.
