We provide expert hearing assessments, digital hearing aid fittings, and professional ear wax removal services with a focus on transparency and ease of use. Director & Registered Hearing Aid Audiologist
John is former Civil Engineer, and re-trained to be a Registered Hearing Aid Audiologist in 2004 and passed his exam with distinction. John has since been been commended in the Rayovac Audiologist of the Year competition.
Statement by John: "I believe in offering a truly independent whole of market approach, keeping pricing realistic and transparent. My motivation is to fit the most advanced hearing aids to suit each persons specific hearing needs and budget.
With regards to ear wax removal, I believe we offer the most complete service available - offering all three removal techniques, and having the most concise consent form to ensure we look after you as safely as possible." John

Registered Hearing Aid Audiologist
Peter was born in North London and grew up in Marlow where he still resides. He formerly enjoyed a career in advertising as a creative artist, working for a large UK agency.
Peter has had a long history of ear related problems including a cholesteatoma and middle ear infection which spread into his mastoid bone and very close to his brain. This led to several operations including a mastoidectomy and ossicular chain reconstruction, meaning he now has a titanium prosthetic bone in his middle ear - this gave rise to an interest in a career change to the hearing care profession.
Peter joined Crystal Hearing in 2019 where he was mentored to pass the following courses:
- Rotherham Ear Care Ear Wax Removal course - top grade
- Mary Hare Hearing Care Assistant Course - top grade
- FdSc Hearing Aid Audiology Degree (Apprenticeship programme) with De Montfort University, Leicester.

Ear Care Specialist / Former Nurse
Sally qualified as a nurse in 1982 and trained at UCL Hospital London in ear care services. She has 35 years of experience in surgical nursing, community nursing, day surgery units, private sector nursing care, and professional ear care services.
Sally also gained a certificate in 'Ear Care and Microsuction Services' following further coaching and completion of a sponsored training programme with 'Just Ears'; with further audiology mentoring at Crystal Hearing since 2021.
Sally manages the Dorking and Horsham clinics and covers for the Marlow Bottom clinic on Fridays and holidays.
Sally is highly motivated to give an attentive and professional service influenced by her nursing career. She now primarily dedicates her working time to professional ear care services with Crystal Hearing.

Which? Magazine recommends independent hearing healthcare professionals - like Crystal Hearing
Which? Magazine turned its attention to hearing aid retailers recently in an effort to get a clear picture of customer satisfaction in the hearing aid retail business. They surveyed over 400 of their own members to find out their experiences in the purchasing of their hearing aids.
Members were asked to rate their hearing aid retailers on the level of service, pricing, the knowledge of their staff, and finally the quality of their testing facilities. Local independent hearing healthcare professionals came out top in all areas.
At Crystal Hearing we believe that this result clearly shows the commitment that independent hearing healthcare professionals have to their customers. We also think that it is a clear recognition that independent professionals have a vast knowledge of the different hearing aids available and give truly impartial advice. This is crucial when it comes to choosing a hearing aid as there are so many different types available.
