How to Use the Unitron TV Connector

1. Setup

• Connect the TV Connector to your TV using one of the provided cables (optical Toslink or 3.5mm jack).
• Plug the device into a power outlet using the included USB cable and adapter.
• Place the TV Connector near your TV for optimal performance.

2. Pairing with Hearing Aids

• Turn on your Unitron wireless hearing aids and ensure they are within 1 meter (3 feet) of the TV Connector.
• The device will automatically detect and connect to your hearing aids—no manual pairing is required.
• You will hear a confirmation tone in your hearing aids when the connection is successful.

3. Streaming Audio

• Once paired, any audio played on your TV will stream directly into your hearing aids in high-quality stereo sound.
• Adjust the volume of streamed audio using your hearing aid controls or an optional remote control.

4. Receiving Phone Calls

• If your phone is connected to your hearing aids via Bluetooth, you can take calls while using the TV Connector. The streaming will pause when a call comes in and resume automatically after the call ends.

5. Moving In and Out of Range

• The streaming range is up to 15 meters (50 feet). If you move beyond this range, streaming will pause automatically but resume when you return within range.

CABLES: The Phonak TV Connector is supplied with two different audio cable inputs: an Optical (Toslink) and an analog (3.5 mm jack). The 3.5mm headphone jack cable will mute the TV speaker sound. If your TV only provides an RCA (red/white) output you will need to buy one – click here.  HDMI cables are not supported.
